Training a custom model on genbeacon lets you create AI models tailored to your specific needs. Our platform simplifies the training process while giving you the control you need for optimal results.
What is model training?
Model training is the process of teaching an AI model to perform specific tasks using your data. Think of it like teaching a student - you provide examples of what you want, and the model learns to replicate and generalize from these patterns. Training builds upon existing base models, enhancing them with your specialized knowledge.
Training your first model
Getting started with model training is straightforward:
- Navigate to your dashboard
- Click 'Train Models' in the navigation or use this direct link
- Choose your trainer from the available options based on your needs
- Upload your training data
- Configure your training parameters (if any)
- Start training
Your model will appear in your run models tab and will be accessible for use once training is complete.

Training methods
We offer several approaches to model training:
- LoRA: Efficient training that maintains base model capabilities
- Dreambooth: Fine-tune models on specific concepts
Each method has different resource requirements and training costs. Our platform guides you to the best choice for your needs but provides access to all methods available.

After Training
Once training is complete:
- The credits used for training cannot be refunded. This is because the credits are used to train the model and the resources used have already been consumed.
- If results aren't satisfactory, you'll need to retrain with adjusted parameters or improved data
- You can always retrain models with refined data or parameters
